As a minister, it is my great joy and privilege to travel with people at all sorts of life stages. Service and ritual help us to mark important milestones in our lives, whether celebrating the passing of someone dear at a Celebration of Life or affirming the love and union of kindred souls in a Wedding or Commitment Ceremony.
I bring a warm, gentle, and curious presence to my ministry when planning ceremonies and services. I find that our working relationship together is one of the most important things in crafting a service; I take it seriously to get to know you a little bit more, to get a feel for your hopes or wishes for a service, and to co-create something meaningful. I bring an attention to detail that is valued in my preparation for services. In creating this service, I find that I’m given a beautiful opportunity to get to know your life and story more in the process. This is something I consider a great privilege and honor, to be asked to be a part of your life in this way.
I work with people of all religious backgrounds, faiths, spiritualities (& none!), gender identities, expressions, and sexual orientations. I conduct services and ceremonies for LGBTQ+ partners. As a pastor, I affirm that love is love––no exceptions.

To give you an idea of how I work from people I’ve worked with, I’ve included a review below from a wedding I solemnized:
It was my honor to marry Lauren and Dustin Williams, as well as to perform their wedding that we kept having to push back the date for due to the pandemic. Lauren and Dustin had the following to say about working with me

“Alex did a wonderful job officiating our wedding and solemnizing our marriage on the steps of the First Parish in Wayland. Despite multiple changes in the ceremony’s date and logistics (due to a global pandemic!) Alex remained professional and flexible throughout, really putting us at ease during a difficult yet exciting time. The words that Alex prepared for our ceremony were perfect for us and our story, and we are so grateful that he was part of our special day.”
