I serve as Senior Minister of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Grand Traverse in Traverse City, Michigan, where I lead worship, provide pastoral and spiritual care, and work alongside staff, lay leaders, and volunteers to nurture a vibrant, covenantal faith community.
My ministry is grounded in relationship, presence, and a deep trust in the capacity of individuals and communities to grow, heal, and transform. I understand Unitarian Universalism as a living tradition—rooted in love, shaped by reason and experience, and continually renewed through shared practice and ethical commitment.
Since completing my Master of Divinity at Harvard Divinity School, my vocation has deepened through settled congregational ministry, hospital chaplaincy, youth mentorship, and interfaith collaboration. These experiences have strengthened my capacity to accompany people through seasons of transition, grief, discernment, and joy, and to offer calm, attentive care across a wide range of beliefs, identities, and life experiences.
In congregational life, I am particularly drawn to cultivating worship that is meaningful and accessible, fostering shared ministry and lay leadership, and supporting lifelong religious exploration for all ages. I value collaborative leadership, clear communication, and practices that build trust and resilience within community.
Beyond the congregation, I have been active in community and interfaith partnerships that seek to build relationships across difference and to engage faith communities in the work of care, justice, and repair. I believe Unitarian Universalist ministry is both inward and outward facing: tending to the spiritual lives of individuals while contributing to the wider common good.
Outside of ministry, I enjoy music, walking and hiking, and thoughtful conversation. I share life with my husband, Connor (and our cat, Lydia), and am continually learning how to live with greater attentiveness, humility, and joy.
